The name of this bridge recalls the name of the submerged village Žďákov. This steel bridge with arch span of 379 m was built in 1958-67 and is one of the largest in the world. It is unique thanks to its single steel arch with a span of 330 m. The arch only weights 3100 t. The road lies 50 m above the water level, 110 m above the valley ground, and the bridge is 543 m long.
